Summary
We have a dedicated Consultant Intensivist providing regular formal clinical supervision and education. We are committed to supporting your ongoing development across the 4 pillars of advanced practice, providing you with the opportunity to explore research/ audit/ service improvement projects, formal and information education and teaching opportunities and the development of your leadership and advanced clinical skills. What youll do: The CCOT ACP responds to acute referrals and emergency calls to any adult patient across the organisation You will undertake a comprehensive patient assessment, critically analyse clinical findings, formulate differential diagnoses, initiate treatment to manage and stabilise the clinical condition and evaluate its impact. Avoid unnecessary critical care admissions and facilitate escalation of care decisions. Instigate critical care intervention at the patient's bedside before appropriate admission to critical care Protected 20% non-clinical time for advanced practice portfolio development, educational opportunities, service improvement and QI projects. What were looking for Ability to work autonomously, undertaking expanded roles. Completed the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice. Professional portfolio demonstrating advanced practice across the 4 pillars of advanced practice.* Completed National Outreach Forum Advanced Critical Care Outreach Competencies or speciality-specific advanced capabilities.* Significant experience within the speciality.* Able to work internal rotation, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Diplomacy and effective communication skills.* Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
