The Activity Coordinator will contribute to the delivery of care within a multi-professional team. They will demonstrate responsibility to patients, relatives and colleagues through contribution to the development and implementation of designated activity programmes.

If you don't already have a Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, RDaSH are offering this post alongside the opportunity for you to complete a Level 2 apprenticeship qualification [relevant to your role].

As an apprentice within RDaSH you will be given the opportunity to gain experience, learn work-related skills and obtain all the tools needed to thrive.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This leads to a nationally recognised qualification.

Whether you already work for us or are joining the Trust and NHS for the first time, apprenticeships can help you to develop the skills, knowledge and know-how in order to embark on a successful and fulfilling career within the health service.
• Development and implementation of Activities Programmes that provide mental, physical, social stimulation as well as addressing the spiritual and cultural needs of our patients.
• Researching new ideas and current good practice relating to activities for older people.
• Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and deliver special events.
• Promotion of social, physical and spiritual activities
• Contribution to the development and review of care plans associated with activities
• Contributing to the mealtime experience with therapy breakfasts
• Keeping appropriate records of activities and assessment forms
• Keeping up to date with mandatory training and Health and Safety requirements for the role
• Awareness of and adherence to all Trust policies.
• Promote and uphold privacy, dignity & respect, rights and well-being of patients, and their carers at all times with a particular emphasis on facilitation of a holistic quality of life for the patient.
• Work in collaboration with your colleagues as part of a team to ensure the delivery of high quality safe care to patients, and their families and to ensure that a positive approach to the development of quality is embraced.
• Contribute and participate within the Clinical Governance framework by attending team and unit meetings.
• Contribute to and uphold Fundamental Standard
