Crynodeb
Provide high-quality outpatient cardiology care through clinics, triage and GP advice. Maintain professional standards, including attendance at all clinical activities, compliance with GMC requirements and full patient involvement in decision-making. Offer clinical leadership to the community cardiology service and support pathway redesign, QI work and integration with local services. Participate in clinical governance activities, including audit, incident review, compliance with NICE guidance and monitoring of clinical outcomes. Work with operational colleagues to improve efficiency (reducing DNAs, cancellations and readmissions), support financial management and ensure accurate use of EPIC. Contribute to teaching and supervision of trainees, as well as any delegated educational or appraisal duties. Support junior doctor rota management, recruitment and workforce planning. Assist with business planning, service strategy and representing the service at internal or external meetings. Maintain effective communication and teamwork across the MDT, demonstrating strong leadership, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
