Crynodeb
The successful candidate will join the existing orthopaedic trauma on-call rota at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. This will involve making up a team of three Consultants, each doing one on-call weekday (during which theteam fracture clinics take place) every three weeks, followed by an all-day trauma list on the following day. In addition, the successful candidate will be on-call for orthopaedic trauma one weekend in 12. The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop a special interest in childrens upper limb surgery, to complement the existing surgeons within the team. The successful candidate will be required to provide an elective surgery service Royal Victoria Infirmary. Participate in audit and clinical governance. Show a commitment to continuing professional development. Participate in annual appraisal (for revalidation) and in the annual job planning process. Work with and support all members of the clinical team in the Emergency Department, in out-patient and fracture clinics, in the operating theatres and on the wards.
