LOCATION: Crewe, Cheshire, North West England

WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an HR Manager to support a multi-site organisation delivering housing, community and support services across Cheshire.
As an HR Manager, you will work closely with senior leadership to oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, and compliance with employment law.
The HR Manager will play a key role in embedding positive workplace culture, promoting safeguarding best practice and ensuring HR policies and procedures support both people and organisational objectives.

DUTIES
Your duties as the HR Manager include:
• Recruitment Management: Overseeing the full recruitment lifecycle from job design to appointment
• Employee Relations: Advising managers on HR policies, grievances, disciplinary matters and performance management
• Policy Development: Maintaining and updating HR policies in line with UK employment legislation and best practice
• Safeguarding Compliance: Leading safer recruitment processes including right-to-work checks, references and enhanced DBS
• Employee Engagement: Promoting positive workplace culture and effective employee communication
• HR Administration: Maintaining accurate employee records, attendance data and HR systems
• Induction and Onboarding: Delivering high-quality onboarding programmes aligned to organisational values
• Stakeholder Support: Supporting senior leadership with HR administration and workforce planning
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
• Proven experience working within a Human Resources function
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, employee relations and employment law
• Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding and performance management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion
DESIRABLE
• Experience working within the charity or not-for-profit sector
• Understanding of safeguarding and safer recruitment practices
• Experience using HR systems and databases
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
