Hays are working with a prestigious organisation in Telford who are looking for a Marketing and Communications Officer on a contract basis, this role is responsible for promoting, enhancing, and protecting the organisation's reputation while championing its services and brands. The role involves developing and delivering effective marketing and communications campaigns aligned with organisational objectives and target audiences, ensuring creativity and consistency across all channels.
Your new role
As a Marketing and Communications officer, your role will involve:
- Develop and execute marketing and communications campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
- Create accurate, timely, and engaging content (written, visual, and multimedia) for various channels.
- Manage external communications and campaigns supporting strategic objectives.
- Use project planning techniques to deliver campaigns on time and within budget.
- Provide editorial and copywriting services for online content, newsletters, and social media.
- Support graphic design, video production, and photography requirements.
- Organise and host corporate and communication events.
- Maintain and update websites using CMS platforms, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
- Monitor and evaluate campaign effectiveness, providing reports and recommendations.
- Stay informed on industry trends and share updates internally.
- Represent the Marketing and Communications team on relevant projects.
- Build positive working relationships across the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
- Excellent writing skills for varied channels and audiences.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Digital content creation and CMS management skills.
- Proficiency in social media for business and analytics tools.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly.

- Knowledge of SEO and web analytics.
- Understanding of sector-specific challenges and regulatory frameworks.
- Relevant degree, HNC, or equivalent professional qualification (Essential).
- Proven experience in marketing and communications (Essential).
- Full UK driving licence.
