Job Advert
We are looking for a Community Equipment PPM Technician to be based out of our Northampton Community Equipment Service
Centre. This position plays a crucial role in helping to transform the lives of those in need.
As a Healthcare Equipment provider, Millbrook Healthcare work in partnership with the NHS to supply the necessary equipment and
aids to support people in their day to day life. Our community equipment ranges from simple walking frames and crutches to more
complex equipment such as beds, hoists and pressure care equipment. We also carry out minor adaptations such as the installation
of handrails and grab rails within the home which can make a significant impact in giving people the confidence to live more
independently.
You will be responsible for carrying maintenance on electrical and hydraulic/lifting actuated equipment out in the community in
line with in-house training and current legislation.
* To carry out maintenance on electrical and hoisting equipment out in the community in line with in-house training and current
legislation
* To undertake pre-delivery inspection of all products and undertake the delivery and handover of community equipment to a
service user at their home and/or other locations, as required
* Responsible for the collection of community equipment, and on return to the service centre, must be scanned to the quarantine
area
* Responsible for carrying out repairs when required to do so
* Responsible for carrying out installation of equipment
* To assist with annual stock checks as required
About you:
* Previous relevant experience is preferable
* Practical skills preferred and mechanical aptitude an advantage
* Qualification in electronics or engineering would be desirable or evidence of applying these within previous job role
* You must hold a full UK driving licence (minimum 3 years) with no more than 6 points
* You must be able to load and unload goods, some of which may be heavy
* Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential
* Previous van driving experience would be beneficial
* This role participates in an emergency on-call rota and so flexibility is required
