About the role…
The Project Manager is responsible for providing strong leadership, contract management, project delivery, and strategic planning. Customer driven within the Power Division, ensuring safety, financial and operational targets are met or exceeded, maintaining exceptional customer service levels across all the projects they are responsible for.
This role is the main client interface both commercially and operationally and responsible for the programming and safe delivery of work across the project delivery team across the power business.
As a Project Manager you will be...
Project Manage the day to day management of delivery teams, project/programme worksites. Survey and quote process for individual projects based on a contract schedule of rates. Obtain purchase orders for projects and programmes in a timely manner. Drive to consistently hit monthly achievement targets for earned value. Responsible for project profitability through gross profit control. Ensure the project delivery function carry out the targeted number of safety inspections
Monitor performance and safety requirements regularly and implement improvements. Be proactive in promoting continuous improvement and innovation in our working methodology. Management staff to ensure delivery programmes are in place and progress is monitored. Maintain and measure performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs.
Establish excellent relationships with key contract stakeholders. Communicate and resolve issues with early resolution of any potential problems.
About you…
Proven experience in a Project Management position within the power (33kV -132kV) sector, particularly on managing contract KPI and commercial targets.
Expert knowledge of measuring work achievement and providing reliable information for applications for payment to commercial staff and of assessing and certifying sub-contractor applications for payments.
High attention to detail, managing project delivery, performance management responsibility.
Analysing, interpreting, and reporting data and implementing successful improvement measures.
Expert knowledge of KPI measurements to a high level to ensure compliance with targets.
Extensive knowledge of Power business processes and procedures and the ability to encourage and enable personal development of team members and ability to lead by example and in building collaborative relationships with existing and new clients and suppliers.
Commercially and technically aware within the Power Industry
