Summary

General Teaching Assistant - Year 3 with SEN Responsibilities - Kensington and Chelsea

Salary: £100 - £120 per day

Start date: ASAP

Contract: Long term, full time

We are recruiting a proactive General Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class in a mainstream primary school in Kensington and Chelsea. Alongside general classroom duties such as preparing resources, supporting guided groups and providing feedback, you will take on defined SEN responsibilities. You will deliver targeted speech and language support for one pupil through one to one and small group sessions, implement therapist-led programmes, embed visuals and Now and Next routines, and model language and sentence scaffolds. You will also support another pupil with autism by establishing predictable structures, using social stories, scheduling sensory breaks, and applying strategies including Zones of Regulation to build emotional regulation and positive behaviour. You will track progress against clear targets, contribute to reviews with the class teacher and the SENCo, and maintain strong communication with parents and external professionals.
