We are a dynamic team committed to supporting research excellence, knowledge mobilisation, and innovation across the University. Within RE&I Services, you will join the Development Services team, which supports the Academic Business Partnering function, working closely with colleagues across the institution and externally in areas that include impact, external engagement and collaboration, income development, and planning Research Excellence and Knowledge Exchange Frameworks (REF/KEF).
As the Research, Enterprise and Knowledge Mobilisation Development Officer you will provide a first line of assistance to incoming enquiries (from academics, businesses and other central University services) alongside providing operational support to the team. You will collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders across the full spectrum of research, enterprise, and knowledge mobilisation activities. Your work will have a particular focus on capturing and measuring impact in the University’s external collaborations, including public and community engagement and local regeneration.
This is a varied role where your work will be key to maximising outcomes that contribute to the successful delivery of the University’s Research, Enterprise and Innovation goals in support of our Vision 2030.
We are particularly seeking candidates with expertise and professional competencies to contribute to projects and activities in the following areas of REKM Development Services:

Supporting University Planning and Coordination for Research and Knowledge Exchange
As part of the role, you will have the opportunity the lead on, or contribute to, a range of initiatives within the areas of Research, Enterprise, and Knowledge Mobilisation (REKM).
How will you work?
We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is hybrid, Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that there will be a relatively even balance between time spent on and off campus; but in most cases the work location will be determined by the service required or the tasks/activities being undertaken.
