About the Role:
As an Assistant Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our charity shop, supporting the Shop Manager to keep everything running smoothly and successfully. From inspiring and leading our amazing volunteers to managing stock and creating a vibrant, welcoming shopping experience, you’ll help drive sales and achieve key targets that fund life-changing work.
You’ll also take on key-holder responsibilities, ensuring the shop is safe and secure when needed. If you love retail, enjoy working with people, and want to make a real impact for a great cause, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities include:
- Support the shop manager in achieving the shop income and profit targets by maximising sales, minimising costs using productivity tools and KPI’s to continually improve the business.
- Manage donations, including the sorting, pricing and preparation of items for sale and effectively disposing of unwanted items.
- Assisting in the recruitment, training and development of the volunteer team and ensuring the shop has a built-up volunteer base.
- Support the Shop Manager in administrative tasks, including cash handling and banking.

- Experience working within a retail setting.
