The role
An exciting opportunity is available in our South East Environmental Assessment and Advice Team for a Senior Environmental Assessment Officer (terrestrial ecology) to help shape and deliver future terrestrial monitoring across NRW.
The successful candidate will be an experienced terrestrial ecologist with extensive fieldwork and technical knowledge as well as the ability to plan and track work.
A major part of the new role will be to assist with the delivery and implementation of NRW's new terrestrial monitoring strategy, which will underpin our 30 x 30 reporting requirements. The post will be required to work closely with head office and operational colleagues to achieve this.
The post holder will be expected to mentor, train and develop members of the virtual terrestrial team and assist with monitoring and tracking programme progress. The post holder will also carry out terrestrial monitoring fieldwork, to assist programme delivery.
The location of this post is flexible.
