The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Human Resources Officer to join our People and Culture team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ambitious, proactive, and wants to make a positive impact in the education sector.

As HR Officer, you will:

• Act as the first point of contact for HR queries across the Trust.
• Provide advice and support to Headteachers, senior leaders, and staff on a wide range of HR matters.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining the Single Central Record.
• Support HR projects, policy development, and compliance.
• Coordinate staff benefits, employee surveys, and statutory returns.
• Ensure accurate HR administration and payroll instructions.


This role involves working across multiple sites, so flexibility and a full driving licence are essential.

What We’re Looking For

• CIPD qualified (or working towards).
• Previous HR experience, including advising managers and attending HR-related meetings.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
• A collaborative, positive approach and commitment to professional development.

Experience in a school environment and knowledge of Local Government/National Conditions is desirable.
