We are seeking two friendly and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our growing team at Cheadle Hulme Primary School. In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in supporting pupils with a variety of learning needs. You'll work alongside teachers to provide one-on-one or small group support, and empower pupils to reach their full potential. Here at the Laurus Trust we are able to provide a cutting-edge SEND provision that has a positive impact on our young people, and we are currently looking to recruit caring and dedicated individuals to join our SEND team. You will play a vital role in enhancing pupils progress whilst promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. A comprehensive offer of professional learning is in place and we ensure that all schools have designated work spaces for staff. A broad range of training in SEND is in place across all our schools focus on whole school SEND issues as well as specific training for SEND teams. This position is contracted on a 30 hours per week Term Time only + 5 days basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. We have two different working hours available. Please state within the additional question section which shift you are applying for:Early shift: 7.30am-1.30pm daily. This role includes Breakfast Club, LSA role in and out of class and support at lunchtimes.Late shift: 12-6pm daily. This role includes support at lunchtimes, LSA role in and out of class and after school club. Job Purpose (For further details on the role, please find the Job Description below)Provide in class support for pupils to enable them to make progress as directed by relevant teachers, delivering small group and one to one intervention programmes. Work collaboratively with all members of the team, to support the welfare and personal development of pupils. Key Skills and ExperiencesSound Educational background including GCSE's in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.Early Years qualification (or QTS) as an essentialGood knowledge and understanding of play and how to create opportunities for a wide range of ages and interests.Experience working in a school environment would be an advantage.To learn more about what the Trust offer, including our wide range of employee benefits and access to further professional learning, visit our Careers page.
