Summary
Are you an experienced pharmacy assistant with a GPhC approved Level 2 qualification in pharmacy services?
Have you got an interest in training and would you like to develop your supervisory and leadership skills? Due to internal promotion we have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Senior Pharmacy Assistant - Dispensary.
The position is based at the trusts centralised pharmacy department at the Wells Road Centre in Nottingham.
Working alongside the Lead Pharmacy Technicians and other Senior Pharmacy Assistant, the successful candidate will lead and co-ordinate the work of the Pharmacy Assistants working within the dispensary and ensure the effective day to day running of the department including the labelling and dispensing of prescriptions.
There is currently no requirements to work weekends, late nights or bank holidays.
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

To assist in the smooth running of the dispensary and monitoring of workflow.
To lead and co-ordinate the work of the pharmacy assistants working within the dispensary.
To label and dispense medicines accurately including the filling of compliance aides.
To order and issue FP10 prescription pads ensuring necessary records are completed.
To maintain stock using stock management procedures.
To assist in the induction and training of new and existing staff.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
Please note that this post does not meet the pay or skill level required for a Skilled worker visa.
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary / skill level is below the minimum required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
