This is an exciting opportunity to join Stoke on Trent College as a Financial Controller, leading financial operations and reporting across the College and its associated entities. You’ll play a key role in shaping financial planning, compliance, and system improvement in a values-driven, forward-thinking organisation.
This role is ideal for:

What You Will Do:
o Lead the preparation of monthly and year-end accounts, audit files, and financial statements
o Manage cashflow and oversee procurement activities
o Support budget holders and ensure accurate forecasting
o Maintain and improve financial systems and controls
o Ensure compliance with VAT, asset management, and financial regulations
o Contribute to strategic financial planning and sustainability.
What You Will Bring:
o A recognised accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience
o Strong financial reporting and systems expertise
o Excellent analytical and communication skills
o Collaborative approach and attention to detail
o Experience in Further Education is desirable but not essential
