Crynodeb
To work collaboratively with other members of the specialist palliative care team across NUH and community services to help maintain the quality of life for those requiring specialist palliative care To offer specialist advice, guidance, and supervision to a caseload of patients and/or their carers with complex symptom control and psycho-social support needs associated with living with a life limiting illness. To lead developments in nursing practice in relation to specialist palliative care, identifying areas for clinical audit and research. To provide clinical leadership by role modelling and provision of support, guidance, specialist advice and education to staff of all disciplines, across various care settings As a member of the HPCT, lead ongoing strategic developments in the management of palliative careservices at NUH, consistent with national, regional and local strategies. To develop and maintain close-working relationships with all statutory and voluntary agencies involved in the care of patients with specialist palliative care needs.
