Crynodeb
Be responsible for the inpatients at Royal Trinity Hospice and supervise the clinical care provided by the non-consultant grade doctors attached to the in patient unit and the community teams in conjunction with the other consultants at Royal Trinity Hospice. Provide clinical leadership for the community palliative care teams working across the catchment area and develop close links with the relevant Primary Care Teams in the area. Provide leadership and guidance for the professional development of Specialist Registrars in Palliative Medicine. Take part in the second on-call rota with the other consultants to enable continuous senior cover for the junior medical staff on-call. Participate in multidisciplinary teaching programmes in Royal Trinity Hospice as well as in the community. Participate and contribute to audit, research and clinical governance activities. Develop and maintain liaison between professional organisations, regionally and nationally. Participate and strengthen the continuing professional development educational programme. Participate in managerial responsibilities as required Contribute to the teaching of medical undergraduates.
