Summary
Neway International are seeking a Family Support Worker – Disabled Children’s Team (Kingston & Richmond) to join our client Achieving for Children.
Location: Moor Lane, Chessington
Hours: 36 per week (09:00 – 17:15)
Start Date: 29 December 2025
End Date: Initially for 3 months, likely to be extended
Pay Rate: PAYE £21.16 per hour

Achieving for Children is a not-for-profit social enterprise created to provide children’s services for Kingston, Richmond, and Windsor & Maidenhead. Their Disabled Children’s Team is dedicated to supporting children and young people with disabilities, ensuring they receive tailored packages of care and support that meet their individual needs and promote positive outcomes.
The Role
We are recruiting one Family Support Worker to provide short-term sickness cover within the Disabled Children’s Team.
The role requires office-based working five days per week during the initial two-week induction period, followed by three days per week in the office thereafter.
You will be allocated children with a wide variety of disabilities and will be responsible for ensuring their support packages remain appropriate and effective. This includes reviewing needs regularly, liaising with professionals, and coordinating meetings to drive progress for each child.
Key Responsibilities
Support children and young people with disabilities through tailored packages of care.
Regularly review support packages to ensure they continue to meet family needs.
Drive progress for children within their individual plans.
Liaise with professional networks and coordinate multi-agency meetings.
Chair Team Around the Child meetings and participate in Education and Health forums.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration with families and partner organisations.
Candidate Requirements
Experience working with children and young people with disabilities.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to chair meetings and liaise with multi-agency professionals.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
