Job Description:
Our client is looking for a dedicated and qualified Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities Team. The team provides high-quality support to disabled children and their families, ensuring every child’s needs are assessed, understood, and met through collaborative, multi-agency working.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments of children with disabilities and their families.
Develop and implement individualised care plans, chairing meetings to ensure objectives are met.
Use a range of interventions and skills to engage children, young people, and their families.
Work collaboratively with parents, carers, schools, and other professionals to ensure holistic support.
Contribute to project development and service initiatives.
Support students on placement and newly qualified staff.
Act as a link between the service and local specialist schools.
Ensure the voice of the child is central in all work and decision-making.
Requirements:
Essential:
Completed ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment)
Willingness to work from the Chessington office at least 3 days per week
Preferred:
Experience working with children with disabilities
Qualifications:
Diploma in Social Work, CQSW, or CSS
