Central Walsall (Office-Based)
Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (1hr lunch)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Credit Controller to join a dynamic Finance Team at a busy head office in Walsall. This is a great opportunity for someone confident in managing debtor accounts and building strong relationships across departments.
You will take ownership of debtor management, ensuring timely payments and helping to reduce aged debt. A minimum of 2+ years’ credit control experience, ideally within a professional services environment, is required. Experience issuing court proceedings is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
Proactively manage debtor balances to reduce aged debt
Contact overdue clients daily via phone, email, and written communication
Work closely with internal teams to resolve queries promptly
Issue court proceedings for unpaid debts and take enforcement action where necessary
Prepare account statements and breakdowns
Take client payments in person or over the phone and issue receipts
Post receipts and payments to ledgers
Supporting the Accounts Team
Recording incoming receipts and payments when required
Processing CHAPS/BACS payments
Assisting colleagues during busy periods or absences

Strong IT skills
Confident negotiator with a professional approach
Ability to explain financial matters clearly
High attention to detail
Team player who can work well under pressure and meet deadlines
