Personal Assistant – Full Time
Hours: Between 30-40 hours per week depending of flexible shift patterns
Rate: £12.50-£14.25 per hour
Area: North Shields
Driver Essential
We are looking for a thoughtful, capable Personal Assistant to join a well-established, supportive team providing 2:1 care for a 31-year-old man with complex support needs. He is well liked by his team, who find him engaging and rewarding to work with, and he enjoys being out and about, meeting people, and living an active, meaningful life.
This is a genuinely good role for someone who values quality, consistency and teamwork, and who wants to be part of a calm, professional care package that is already working well.
The role involves:
Supporting daily life at home and in the community
Assisting with personal care, medication and epilepsy management
Driving to activities, appointments and social outings
Helping maintain a comfortable, well-run home (cooking, light cleaning, organisation)
We’re looking for someone who is:
A confident driver (essential)
A non-smoker (preferred due to the work environment)
Reliable, flexible and a strong team player
Calm, observant and able to work with occasional challenging behaviour
Comfortable working day, evening and overnight shifts (waking and sleeping)
Experience with epilepsy, medication and complex care is welcomed, but training is available for the right person.
What we offer:
Competitive pay
5½ weeks’ paid holiday
Pension
A flexible rota
Consistent management and strong team support
A positive, respectful working environment where people enjoy their work
Based in North Shields, with a planned move to Whitley Bay in the near future.
If you’re looking for a role where your contribution genuinely matters, and where you’ll be supported to do your job well, we’d love to hear from you.
This vacancy will close as soon as a suitable candidate is appointed.
At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
