Recycling Warehouse Operative
Edinburgh
Mon – Fri 37.5 hr per week

Job Purpose
To support the recycling operation by safely dismantling photocopiers and printers, sorting and storing reusable components, and accurately logging parts using Excel spreadsheets. The role ensures materials are processed efficiently, responsibly, and in line with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Dismantle and strip down photocopiers, printers, and related office equipment for recycling or reuse
• Identify, sort, and separate components such as metals, plastics, electronics, and reusable parts
• Accurately log parts and materials into Excel spreadsheets, ensuring records are up to date
• Label, store, and organise recycled parts in designated warehouse locations
• Follow environmental, waste management, and recycling procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working area
• Use hand tools and basic equipment safely and correctly
• Assist with general warehouse duties, including moving stock and loading/unloading where required
• Report any faults, hazards, or damaged equipment to the supervisor
Skills and Experience
• Ability to carry out manual handling tasks
• Basic IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Good attention to detail for accurate parts logging and sorting
• Ability to follow instructions and work to set procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

• Practical and hands-on approach to work
• Good organisational skills
