The post of Communications and Events Manager will see you managing communications across several platforms and stakeholder groups which include staff, students and partners. You’ll also be the University’s go-to person for planning and coordinating events, working on exciting projects ranging from Open Days to Staff Awards ceremonies.
The successful candidate will need to balance a varied workload, and regularly employ their strong written and verbal communication skills. Being organised will be a must, as will working closely with your marketing and communications teammates in the Directorate for Student Recruitment.
Main responsibilities include:
Planning and executing communications campaigns for both staff and students
Ensuring a timely flow of information to staff, students and partners
Managing the digital screen network and corporate intranet pages
Working on, and uploading, content that appears on the intranet, digital screens and the ‘Newman app’
Delivering a calendar of on-site campus events to support recruitment activities
Managing the event process from planning, organising invitations, staffing, catering, room bookings, and liaison with external suppliers
Budget management to support Open Days and other events
