Summary

TeacherActive is excited to be working with a well-established and forward-thinking secondary school in the Stockport area. The school has high expectations for behaviour and learning, offering a calm and structured environment where students are respectful, motivated and supported to succeed.

The school is seeking reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to join from January 2026, on a long-term basis with the possibility of ongoing work. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people and are confident supervising classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.

The successful Cover Supervisor will:

  • Have experience working with KS3-KS4 students in a school or similar setting


  • Be confident supervising lessons across KS3 and KS4 using pre-set work


  • Demonstrate strong classroom presence and effective behaviour management


  • Be adaptable, reliable and able to build positive relationships with students


  • Work well as part of a wider staff team and follow school policies
