Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (30-minute lunch) - 40 hours per week

Love fixing things, solving problems and keeping fast-paced kit running smoothly? Join a busy, fully automated FMCG site in Folkestone where no two days are the same. This is a hands-on role for a Multi-Skilled Engineer who enjoys getting stuck in, working with modern machinery and being the go-to person when the line needs a hero.
Key responsibilities

Keep high-speed processing and packaging lines running through PPM, fault-finding and reactive repairs

Track down and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on automated equipment

Strip, rebuild and re-align mechanical components; change bearings, gearboxes, conveyors and ancillaries

Carry out electrical troubleshooting, wiring, motor and control component replacement and testing

Get involved in improvement projects, upgrades and new equipment installs

Keep accurate maintenance records and champion health & safety on shift

Work closely with production and engineering to smash downtime targets and boost reliability
Essential skills & qualifications

Strong experience in an automated FMCG environment

Hands-on experience with processing and packaging machinery

Mechanical qualification: City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)

Electrical qualification: City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)

Confident mechanical and electrical fault-finding on automated plant

Great communicator and team player who can stay calm under pressure

Flexible approach to shifts if required
Desirable

Experience with PLCs, drives and basic control systems

Experience installing and commissioning new equipment
