The Governors of St. Andrew’s Church of England Primary School are seeking to appoint an exceptional leader to fulfil this exciting role in our highly successful, two-form entry school. Rated Outstanding under successive Ofsted inspections and living up to its foundation as a Church school enabling pupils and adults to flourish (SIAMS, judgement 1), we combine academic excellence with a deep commitment to inclusion, wellbeing, and the whole-child ethos. A school where standards are consistently high, behaviour is excellent and children thrive academically and personally.

  • Model and uphold the core Christian values of the school, demonstrating integrity, resilience and professional excellence at all times.
  • Champion inclusion, ensuring the needs of all learnersincluding additional needs and those with SENDare met with ambition, precision and compassion.
  • Be a proactive and inspirational leader who will sustain excellence, demonstrating the highest standards in curriculum leadership, staff development, governance, safeguarding, inclusion, and the quality of education across all areas.
  • Provide clear strategic direction and standards to make the school remarkable across all Ofsted evaluation areas, while guiding the school confidently into the future and the new Ofsted framework.
  • Further a culture of collaboration & personal growth with regard for staff wellbeing, workload management, and professional development.
  • Be an innovative Headteacher who recognises the added value of opportunities outside the classroom, developing life skills to foster the best possible outcomes for every child through creative teaching and learning.
  • Build strong, transparent relationships with governors, parents and the wider community.
  • Have strong business and financial acumen, using data and contextual insight to set and manage budgets, identify barriers to learning and drive continued improvement.
