We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated Achievement Support Assistant to join our friendly Nursery team two days a week. Grade: 4, Scp 5 - 7, £7,266 - £7,499 per annum (actual salary)
Hours: 12.5 hours per week (Monday and Tuesday), term time only (190 days)
Contract Type: Fixed-term, Maternity CoverJob Requirements
The successful candidate will:
Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with school procedures encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.Support the academic, social, emotional and development of individuals and groups of pupils understanding clearly how pupils learn.Provide effective support to maximise attainment and accelerate the progress of individuals and groups of pupils.Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes when necessary.Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress towards academic, social, behavioural and learning skills.Liaise closely with appropriate staff in relation to safeguarding, behaviour, SEND needs and wellbeing issues.Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes to learning.Further information regarding the post can be found in the job description and person specification.
