Summary
Teaching Assistant Level 2 - LAC FOCUS

Grade 4 SCP 5-6 £25,583-£25,989 pro rata
22 hours per week – 39-week contract
Fixed term contract based on grant funding.
Governors are looking to appoint a suitably person to the role of Teaching Assistant Level 2 LAC Focus at Morriston Comprehensive. The role will involve working closely with the Pastoral team and supporting LAC children on a one-to-one basis. You will liaise with staff regarding the students’ academic progress and consider intervention sessions outside of the classroom to help support their wellbeing. These will be directed by the designated LAC Teacher in school.
The purpose of this role is to work under the direct instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for LAC pupils, and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area. You will need to be a hardworking individual, willing to learn and be a good team player.
