Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Sport. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of a high-quality sport curriculum, supporting students to achieve their full potential and progress into further study or employment within the sport and fitness sector.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
As a key member of the curriculum team, your primary responsibility will be to support the effective development and delivery of managed learning for students. Key duties will include:
Delivering inclusive, high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in Sport.
Supporting curriculum design, development, and continuous quality improvement.
Monitoring and supporting student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression, providing targeted support where required.
Effectively using B&FC systems and processes (e.g. VLE, progress tracking, internal verification and moderation) to enable student success.
Participating in student recruitment activities, including interviews, Initial Advice and Guidance (IAG), open days, and curriculum events.
Maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge and applying effective face-to-face and digital pedagogies.
Contributing to the B&FC academic community through scholarship, research, and professional practice.
