Landscape Maintenance Team Leader
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £28k per annum – based on 4 day week Monday – Thursday 7.00am-5.00pm
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Landscape Maintenance Team Leader to supervise a small team delivering high-quality grounds and landscape maintenance services. This role is strictly landscape maintenance
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a landscape maintenance team on site
• Carry out and oversee general grounds maintenance, including:
o Grass cutting, strimming, and edging
o Pruning, hedging, and weeding
o Mulching and general garden maintenance
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and on schedule
• Maintain safe working practices and compliance on site
• Operate and look after tools, plant, and machinery
• Communicate effectively with clients and management
• Complete basic paperwork and job reports
Essential Requirements:
• Proven experience in landscape or grounds maintenance
• Previous supervisory or team leader experience
• Valid CSCS card
• Full UK driving licence
• Good knowledge of horticultural maintenance practices
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Desirable:
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Horticulture or similar
• First Aid or SSSTS
• PA1 / PA6 (spraying certificates)
