We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our team at Loch Arthur.
Do you have experience in computer-based accounting systems and routine accounting procedures?
Would you like to join our Finance Team as we work towards a major system change?
This is a full-time role - 37.5 hours per week (part time or job share may be considered)
The rate of pay is £13.50 per hour - (a higher rate of pay may be possible for an exceptional candidate)
This is a temporary position until June 2026 with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Loch Arthur is a modern rural community which includes people with disabilities helping to create and sustain a multi-faceted community life. Fundamental to the ethos of Camphill is the creation of meaningful and fulfilling work for all Community members. Out of this, a variety of productive workshops and enterprises have developed at Loch Arthur. This includes farms, gardens, craft workshops, creamery and farm shop.
This position involves routine accounting procedures as well as ad-hoc tasks requested by our Finance Manager as we implement our new system. Your duties will include:
• Stock system
Assisting with the set up of stock records, using Excel and Sage200
Processing internal stock movements
Verifying stock information with physical checks
Maintaining stock database
Ensuring Alignment of Stock and Till system (KCPos)
• Purchase ledger
Processing Purchase Orders
Matching and posting of supplier invoices
Maintaining supplier records
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK as we cannot offer VISA sponsorship for this role.
Our office is closed for the festive period from 1pm on Christmas Eve and we re-open at 9am on Tuesday 6th January and can answer any questions you may have during this time on our return.
