Your new role
We are pleased to be recruiting for a dedicated Year 3/4 teacher to cover maternity leave at an ambitious and nurturing two-form entry primary school in Coventry. This full-time role begins at the start of February and continues until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the class, including planning, teaching, and assessment, while being warmly welcomed into a collaborative and supportive staff team.
In this role, you will:
- Design creative and purposeful lessons that spark curiosity and build confidence
- Establish a positive, inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and motivated
- Deliver the lower KS2 curriculum with enthusiasm and flexibility to meet diverse learning needs
- Promote independence, respect, and responsibility through clear routines and expectations
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, embracing its strong sense of community
- Celebrate achievements and nurture each child's personal and academic growth
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with recent KS2 experience, ideally in Years 3 or 4
- A solid understanding of the primary curriculum and effective planning/assessment strategies
- A caring, adaptable teaching style with strong behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach
- Availability to start at the beginning of February and remain until the end of the academic year
