Summary
Are you a clear communicator with an eye for detail? We are seeking an efficient Admin Level 2 to join our Attendance Team, ensuring that student records are accurate and maintaining the crucial link between home and school regarding absence.
About the Role
As an Attendance Administrator, you will play a key part in the school’s daily routine. You will often be the first voice a parent hears when calling the school, handling enquiries and recording absences with empathy and accuracy. Beyond the phone lines, this role involves updating our management information systems to ensure every student is accounted for—a vital task for both safeguarding and statutory reporting. You will also support the wider team with general office duties, ensuring the department runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Front of House & Communication: Support the day-to-day operation of the office, acting as the first point of contact both face-to-face and over the telephone; respond to enquiries (such as absence reporting) with accurate and relevant information, ensuring messages are passed to the relevant person.
Data & Records: Update manual records and computerised management information systems, ensuring accurate data input and identifying any errors to satisfy the Trust’s reporting requirements.
Reporting: Provide accurate and meaningful information to stakeholders by conducting routine interrogation of management systems to provide basic reports (e.g., daily absence lists) and answer queries.
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support using a variety of ICT packages (Microsoft Office/Google Workspace) to ensure timely and accurate document processing.
Meetings: You may be required to take accurate records of meetings to document all actions agreed upon.
Resources: Store, distribute, and replenish equipment and materials, checking stock deliveries and referring queries to suppliers to ensure colleagues have what they need.
Events & Hospitality: Support during school events by taking bookings, greeting visitors, and providing hospitality and refreshments as requested.
The successful candidate must hold an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
