Reliable Site Porter / Cleaner Needed in Stafford
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Porter/Cleaner to join a busy manufacturing site in Stafford. This is a part-time, weekday role offering consistent hours, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Position Overview
Role: Porter / Cleaner
Location: Stafford, ST16
Type: Temporary, with possibility of a permanent position
Start Date: 5 January 2026
Duration: Until at least 31 March 2026, possibly longer
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:00
Rate: £12.60 per hour plus holiday accrual, paid weekly
As a Porter/Cleaner, you will help maintain a clean, safe and organised manufacturing environment. This role involves both indoor and outdoor duties and includes manual handling.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness across the manufacturing shop floor
• Remove cardboard and general waste and place it into external waste containers
• Sweep and mop floor areas, dust and wipe ledges
• Keep rear yard areas tidy
• Operate a scrubber dryer machine
• Assist with cardboard baling when required
Requirements
• Proven reliability and punctuality – essential for this role
• Previous cleaning experience is required
• Ability to work all scheduled days
• Comfortable with manual handling and some outdoor work
• Plain black polo shirt, black trousers and black safety shoes required
• Suitable clothing for cold weather working outdoor
• Hi-vis waistcoat and safety glasses will be provided
