Open-ended: Permanent Contract

The Opportunity:

Edinburgh College of Art is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable creative technologist who enjoys getting hands on with digital development. If you have considerable experience of creative electronics projects working with development boards and have developed using C++ and Python - we want to hear from you! If you have a keen interest in or experience with other languages (see job description), IoT, soldering or robotics then that is even better! Join us to support a range of cutting-edge technologies in our workshops.

If you have technical skills, are committed to helping staff and students get the best from their projects, and you are keen to work with students and academics from across disciplines, please apply.

You should expect to work in a vibrant artistic environment on a range of creative projects, supporting students and staff with teaching, research and imaginative project work across a broad range of disciplines. Working closely with a wider ITTS Digital Making Teams, you will find yourself pushing the limits of technology and making imagination a reality.

You will join a team of dedicated and professional technical staff supporting interdisciplinary teaching and research. You will have a solid background in and practical understanding of new and transformative technologies within digital development and a passion for helping others make use of them to challenge, create, and make change happen.

This post is part-time (14 hours per week) and requires 100% on-campus working.
