Ophthalmology Pre-assessment Department HRI

The Ophthalmology Department HRI has a vacancy for a dynamic and highly motivated Registered Nurse. The post is within the pre-operative assessment team. We are dedicated to providing a high standard of patient focused care using up to date technology in a well-equipped purpose built modern facility.

We actively support professional development and successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain specialist ophthalmic knowledge and skills to deliver excellent patient care. Successful candidates will also have the opportunity to expand their scope of professional practice and participate in a variety of nurse-led clinics.

Candidates must demonstrate commitment to the delivery of high quality patient focused care, and be able to work effectively within the multi-disciplinary team in order to promote service needs. Evidence of clinical and professional development, participation in evidence-based practice and an ability to work under own initiative is required. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Previous ophthalmic or pre-operative assessment experience would be an advantage, however candidates who demonstrate a genuine interest will be considered and training will be provided.

For further information or to arrange an informal visit please contact Carole Elliott-Croft – Ophthalmic Pre-assessment Sister @ carole.elliottcroft@nhs.net
