Full JD & PS Attached You will be part of the Community Cancer and Supportive Therapies Nursing team providing a comprehensive and holistic service for patients with a confirmed Oncology or Haematology diagnosis. In line with local and national drivers the role requires you to: Provide Oncology and Haematology care and support in a variety of settings closer to patients homes and give an opportunity to choose where they receive their treatments. Deliver intravenous supportive therapies, sub-cutaneous injections, central venous line care, venepuncture and venesections. Provide holistic care to patients and their carers. Manage side effects of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy and other cancer treatments. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary teams and aim to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and improve the health and wellbeing of the population served. The nature of the service will be determined by local service specifications. Be responsible for setting high standards of care within the resources available and to review and monitor these resources on a continuous basis, through the process of audit, to ensure continuity of quality care.
