Summary

Senior Risk Lead (2LoD) – UK BPO | Multi-site (onshore/offshore)


We’re a global organisation with a strong footprint in the UK Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) market. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a Risk Manager to support business leaders across government and retail accounts.

Reporting to the UK, Africa & Ireland Head of Privacy, Risk & Compliance, you will provide 2nd Line of Defence oversight across multiple lines of business and sites. You’ll ensure risks and issues are identified, accurately captured in the corporate risk register, monitored through meaningful MI, and managed through effective treatment plans and controls.

What you’ll do

  • Lead end-to-end risk and issue management: identification, assessment, tracking and reporting
  • Partner with operational leaders to strengthen controls and mitigation
  • Deliver MI and reporting packs for stakeholders and governance forums
  • Support incident management and control testing/audits
  • Work closely with Security and Privacy teams and attend client reviews
  • Contribute to internal/external audits and promote a proactive risk culture

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in risk (audit/assurance/compliance monitoring welcomed)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to create and deliver test/audit plans and control testing
  • Analytical, adaptable, comfortable in fast-moving environments
  • Confidence operating as 2LoD (constructive challenge + independence)
  • Knowledge of regulatory environments (e.g., GDPR, SOX)
  • Leadership and remote management experience

Nice to have

IRM qualification, financial crime, business continuity, incident management, government/public sector exposure, and/or BPO experience.
