Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Localities team at Grade 8 level. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality social work services to individuals and families in need across various communities. In this position, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to assess and address complex social issues, ensuring that clients receive the support they require to improve their well-being. Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of clients, providing comprehensive assessments and care plans tailored to their specific needs.
Act as a mentor and supervisor to junior social workers and support staff, offering guidance and oversight in their professional development.
Collaborate with external agencies, community organizations, and stakeholders to facilitate access to resources and services for clients.
Conduct regular reviews of client progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary, ensuring outcomes are achieved effectively.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client cases and integrate diverse perspectives into service delivery.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of case notes, assessments, and service plans in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
Advocate for client rights and provide information on relevant services, encouraging self-advocacy and empowerment in clients.
Requirements
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work).
Current registration with the relevant professional regulatory body (e.g., Social Work England).
Significant experience in social work practice, particularly within localities or community settings.
Demonstrated ability to assess and manage complex cases involving vulnerable adults and children.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff or students in social work.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work and safeguarding protocols.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £28.80
