Are you a detail driven data professional who wants to make a real difference to students' outcomes by turning information into insight?
We are seeking a highly organised and analytical Data Manager to play a key role in supporting The Portsmouth Academy's operational efficiency, data integrity and statutory compliance.
In this role you will work closely with senior leaders to ensure accurate, timely and meaningful data supports teaching, learning and strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will oversee the academy's data systems, reporting processes, GDPR compliance and the administration of key progress and reporting events acting as a central point of expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead on the administration and development of the academy's data systems including Arbor
• Set up, maintain and improve procedures for entering and updating student and staff data
• Support the academy's Data Protection Officer in ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection policies
• Coordinate all administrative aspects of Progress Events
• Work closely with the Vice Principal, Senior Student Progress Manager, SLT and examinations team
About You:
• Highly organised, detail-focused and confident working with complex data
• Experienced in school data systems (Arbor experience is desirable)
• Knowledge about GDPR and data protection requirements
• An effective communicator and able to support and advise colleagues at all levels
• Proactive, solution focused and comfortable working to deadlines
