Crynodeb
The post holder will support delivery of the Trusts Medicines Efficiency Programme, implementing agreed medicines switches and homecare optimisation initiatives to improve value and patient care. Working collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, and clinical teams, they will analyse prescribing and financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and report outcomes to senior staff. Responsibilities include accurate processing of homecare orders and invoices, maintaining patient and financial records, and liaising with providers and clinical teams to resolve queries in line with governance requirements. The post holder will provide technical support to pharmacy and clinical teams, contributing to dispensary and ward-based activities, including final accuracy checking of prescriptions as an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician. They will mentor and support junior staff, contribute to training and competency assessments, participate in audits and service improvement projects, and deputise for the Lead Pharmacy Technician when required.
