Main responsibilities To promote the safe use of injectable medicines in accordance with guidance and evidence based best practice, to support the implementation of drug-error reduction software across the Trust. To work with corporate and divisional colleagues to ensure medication risks are identified as part of the dose error reduction software infusion pump project. To assess risks and ensure risk reduction measures are put in place and monitored. To promote a multidisciplinary approach to implementation and optimisation of smart infusion pump technology. To promote learning and sharing of experiences in risk reduction and improvement methodologies in relation to infusion pump technology. To participate in audit, research and quality improvement to support medicines safety. To use innovation to support effective patient outcomes, experience, improve cost effectiveness and in particular to support safety improvement.
