Are you passionate about making a real difference in patient care? We’re looking for an experienced Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide leadership and guidance within the speciality. In this role, you’ll be a trusted source of knowledge and support for patients, their families, and carers, as well as a key resource for our multi-professional team.

You’ll play a vital part in coordinating care, ensuring patients experience seamless support throughout their journey. Your insight and expertise will help shape and develop our service to meet the evolving needs of the people we care for.


This is a great opportunity to demonstrate your experience, lead with confidence, and share your knowledge through education and mentorship. You’ll also drive improvements in care standards through audits and research, and carry out specialist clinical procedures within your scope of practice.

• Offer holistic support to patients diagnosed via both the Symptomatic Breast Service.
• Act as a support mechanism to patients in their treatment choice and entry into clinical trials, while maintaining research-based practice.
• Povide education and advice to patients and their relatives in this patient group.
• Know how to resource appropriate information literature for this patient group.
• Attend weekly multi-disciplinary breast meetings.
• Under the direction of the Breast Care Nurses to assist with the development and implementation of integrated care pathways.
• Provide an accessible telephone contact service for Breast patients concerned about their symptoms or treatment.
• Work with colleagues to maintain a comprehensive service which provides optimum care for patients with Breast disease.
• Act as the patients’ advocate in association with relevant members of the multi-disciplinary team, when informed discussion may assist them in understanding and deciding upon treatment plans.
• Ensure that the rights of the patient are respected and assist in the provision of information enabling informed decisions to be made about their care.
