Crynodeb

The Home Office works to build a safe, fair and prosperous UK. We achieve this through our work on counter-terrorism, policing, crime, drugs policy, immigration and passports.

Home Office Digital designs, builds and develops services for the rest of the department and for government. Every year our systems support up to 3 million visa applications, checks on 100 million border crossings, up to 8 million passport applications and deliver 140 million police checks on people, vehicles and property.

The Business Change Manager works proactively with Business Change Managers and Leads to ensure the business is prepared and ready to adopt and embed new ways of working, enabling realisation of project or programme benefits.

As a Business Change Manager, you will be a confident collaborator, building strong stakeholder relationships. You will prepare and deliver co-ordinated business change activities using recognised business change tools and methodologies.

Demonstrating strong communication skills, you will create support for change, understand impacts, and implement identified activities required for successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business change delivery for projects of low to moderate complexity and support delivery for higher complexity projects to achieve business case benefits.
  • Champion best practice to enhance colleagues’ understanding of change delivery.
  • Create and maintain business change products, applying appropriate tools and methodologies, and ensuring timely, quality delivery to facilitate adoption.
  • Assess and record change impacts on stakeholders, enabling mitigation planning and managing business readiness criteria for Go-Live.
  • Manage and monitor the change plan, reporting progress through governance and supporting benefit identification and realisation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain communications plans, ensuring stakeholder needs are addressed.
  • Provide administrative support for training sessions, events, and coordination of tasks within the Digital Champions community.
  • Identify and manage stakeholders, creating engagement plans and building strong relationships to influence adoption and foster change networks.
