Summary
Deliver a high standard of holistic patient care, ensuring that the patients` dignity and equality are maintained at all times.
Ensure the principles set out in the fundamentals of care are incorporated into daily practice to ensurehigh-qualityy service for patients and clients.
Ensurethe service user's house is generally clean and tidy and report any untidiness/clutter to the appropriate person.
Complete patient menu cards involving patients in the process, taking into account any dietary instructions as identified by a qualified nurse.
Participate in protected mealtime for service users by ensuring patients receive their meals/beverages in a timely and safe manner, ensuring hands are washed,d and the environment is conducive to mealtimes.
Perform patient observations: temperature. Pulse and respirations following a period of appropriate training and assessment
Assist in the moving and handling of Service user, ensuring that they are moved safely in line with organisational guidelines and policies.s
Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergencies.
Communicate basic information to Service user and their carers, maintaining confidentiality, dignity and respect.
Good understanding of personal care, domestic/practical tasks, and enabling and support work that includes washing, dressing, bathing, toileting and medication monitoring and/or assistance.
Support Workers are required to promote service users ' independence in their own homes while delivering care in the home and other venues as may be assigned, while maintaining personal service that always meets the individual's personal needs regarding confidentiality.
Duties and tasks will include the provision of personal, social and enabling care and support to service users within their own home and in the community.
Ability to communicate with the Service Users and their families while providing the highest quality care in accordance with their support plan, in a person-centred approach.
You might be required to undertake some social duties that include preparing and cooking meals, essential cleaning, shopping, bill payment and fire maintenance.
Also, enabling and support may include such activities as supervising, monitoring and coaching to empower service users to be as independent as possible and have control over their own lives. And may need to escort or accompany service users to community outings, appointments or other events.
Applicants who live in Southampton or are willing to relocate to Southampton with immediate effect are encouraged to apply.

Driving and experience as a caregiver are essential but not mandatory.
