What you will be doing:
- Fabricating, installing and pressure testing small-bore pipework
- Using a range of hand tools & mechanical equipment to cut, bend and weld pipes as well as installation of pipework.
- Install and assemble fittings, valves, manifolds and related components according to drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure the timely and accurate completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company procedures at all times
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out
- Carry out pressure testing on pipework to PT-1
- Carry out instrumentation and pipe work upgrades for gas distribution for Cadent, Northern gas network and National grid AGIs and National grid compressor sites
Who we are looking for:
- Modern Apprenticeship certificate/Trade Papers (you will be required to provide these papers) and relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture, installation, and use of associated equipment
- Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, tools, and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Clear understanding of SHE, COSHH and Risk Assessments
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or similar within an industrial or commercial environment.
- CompEx F desirable
- SCO 1 & 2 (EUSR)
- Experience with Swagelok Fittings and Installation
