Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic

Location: Ipswich
Salary: Up to £38,000 Basic + OTE up to £48,000
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:30 (No Weekends)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician / Automotive Technician / Car Mechanic / Motor Vehicle Technician to join a busy dealership workshop in Ipswich.   Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs

    
    

  • Conduct fault-finding and diagnostics to manufacturer standards

    
    

  • Accurately complete service documentation and job cards

    
    

  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and VOSA standards

    
    

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and provide technical advice

    
    

  • Maintain workshop efficiency and high-quality workmanship

    
    

    Skills & Qualifications Required

    • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or City & Guilds equivalent) – essential

      
      

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, or Car Mechanic

      
      

    • Own comprehensive tool kit required

      
      

    • Full UK manual driving licence (licence checks will be conducted)

      
      

    • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)

      
      

    • Desirable: MOT Tester licence
