We have seen significant growth and demand for our services over the past two years and have developed an outstanding reputation.The BidWriterwill directly contribute the development of ABLs services and meet the needs of under-represented and seldom-heard communities. To support ABLs ambitious growth strategy, we are seeking aBid Writer to join our successful Business Development Team. This dynamic role will be key in writing high-quality,compliantand compelling bids, supporting ABL to diversify into aligned markets, and tomaintainand grow its existing services, including: Weight Management (Tier 1, Tier2and Tier 3) Smoking Cessation Integrated Wellbeing Services Mental Health Childrens edge of care behavioural support Wider lifestyle services including physical activity, falls prevention, sexual health, and alcohol reduction. Main Duties and responsibilities: Write high-quality,persuasiveand compliant bid responses across a range of subject areas, accurately communicating ABLs service models,outcomesand impact. Interpret tender specifications, quality questions and evaluation criteria to develop targeted written responses that address commissioner priorities and scoring requirements. Translate complex clinical, operational and performance information into clear,accessibleand compelling narrative tailored to the intended audience. Coordinate written input from subject matter experts, editing and shaping contributions to ensure consistency of tone, structure,messagingand quality. Ensure all written responses fully address the questions asked, remain within word limits, and clearlydemonstratecompliance and added value. Edit, proofread and format bid content to a high professional standard, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with ABLs writing style and branding. Work collaboratively with the wider bid and business development team to understand requirements, clarify content needs, and resolve issuesimpactingthe quality of written responses. Support post-tender written activity, including drafting responses to written requests for information and supporting narrative for presentations. Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of ABLs bid content library, ensuring written materials are current, reusable and reflect best practice. Provide ad-hoc writing and content development support to the Business Development Team asrequired. Bid Governance & Assurance Own day-to-day tender portal management, including registration, documentdownloadsand uploads. Maintainaccurateand up-to-date bid trackers, pipelines, and compliance logs, providing clear visibility of status, deadlines, risks, and responsibilities. Contribute to continuous improvement of bid governance processes, templates, trackers, and controls to improve efficiency, compliance, and audit readiness. Skills & Competenciesrequired: You willhaveexperience in a community health or similar environment and a passion for creating innovative,engagingand compliant bid submissions, drafting and formatting responses to ABLs writing style. Supportingthe end-to-end bid cycle, you will work proactively and positively with colleagues. You will be an adept communicator who adapts the message to fit the needs of the audience whilst building strong relationships fostering trust and cooperation among colleagues, sub-contractorsand other key stakeholders. Reporting to the Senior Bid Manager, you will develop a sound knowledge of ABLs services and the public health commissioning environment to support continuous development of ABLs bid management processes and achievement of strategic objectives. With thorough attention to detail and a positive, flexible approach, the role will require dealing with complex public health and wellbeing challenges, including multiple and changing demands, and will often need to meet tight deadlines.A high levelof intellectual rigour, political awareness,negotiationand motivation skills, as well as flexibility and sensitivity are essential. You will use enhanced levels ofdiplomacy, including the ability to work with individual specialists whilst not being afraid to challenge them on specific issues to meet service specification requirements. You will need to be flexible enough to support colleagues and work effectively within a culture that supports individuals taking risks to innovate. This role requires excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear,conciseand persuasive response that translate complextechnical ideas intoaccessibleandcompellinglanguage.You will haveexcellentproofreading and editing ability, with astrong focus on grammar,accuracyand consistency.Strong attention to formatting is also essential, ensuring submissions are professional,visually consistent, and fully compliant with tender requirements, using and developing templates,stylesand graphics whereappropriate. The postholder willbe responsible formaintainingthe clinical and/or corporate records that fall within the remit of this role to the standards in ABLs records management policies, and data quality processes and standards.
