About the Role

Are you someone who leads with compassion and brings out the best in others?

Purple Oak Support is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Service Manager to join our team in Andover. You will play a pivotal role in leading part of our supported living service, ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care for people with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Job Opportunity

About the role:

As Care Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our supported living services. You will lead and inspire a team of care professionals to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care, keeping the needs and wishes of the people we support at the heart of everything you do.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading with purpose: Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of your designated areas of our Support Accommodation service, consistently upholding our values.
  • Supporting and developing teams: Lead, coach and support our Support Supervisors, helping them maintain high standards of care. You’ll provide the tools, training and encouragement needed for them to support their teams to deliver person-centred support that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.
  • Managing resources efficiently: Monitor staffing across the services, resolving any challenges and ensuring that staffing levels meet the needs of the people we support and the hours we are commissioned to deliver.
  • Embracing change: Be a champion for continuous improvement, reviewing incidents and guiding your team in reflection and growth. You’ll also help implement new systems, such as Access Care Planner, to enhance the service and streamline operations.
  • Compliance and quality assurance: Monitor the quality of care and ensure we meet all regulatory standards. Lead by example in promoting compliance and ensuring that support plans, risk assessments and reviews are tailored to the needs and aspirations of the individuals we support.
  • Building strong relationships: Foster positive relationships with the people we support, their families, external agencies and local authorities.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will have the chance to make a tangible difference every day.

Who we are looking for:

  • A values-driven leader with a passion for delivering excellent, person-centred care.
  • Previous management experience in a social care, supported living, or domiciliary care setting (essential).
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop staff teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
  • Confident in managing safeguarding, risk, and compliance processes.
  • Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and care management systems.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards this qualification).
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and embracing change.
  • Respectful, approachable, and resilient under pressure.

Additional requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship).
  • Subject to enhanced DBS and safer recruitment checks.

If you are passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities and want to lead a dedicated team making a real difference, we would love to hear from you.
